My name is Maj-Lis

My parents came here in 1961. I trained as a nurse and midwife, and came home to keep the lodge going. Mamaj, our Samoyed, likes to greet everyone who comes.

You do an impressive job, Maj-Lis, with high quality in everything you do! I warmly recommend your kitchen – fantastic food from local produce.

The plateau has four seasons. We are open in all of them.

Winter

Northern lights, dog sledding, snowmobile and ski trail across Beaskádas.

Hoarfrost in the birches as the sun returns

The light comes back. Crusted snow, ice fishing and long days.

Reindeer burger, bidos (reindeer soup), home baking and cordial from berries on the plateau. The meat comes from local producers and the fish from the lakes nearby.
